CommUNITY: Honoring Heritage and Hope through Passover Meals

In a heartwarming display of unity and compassion, Goodman Jewish Family Services, together with a dedicated community of volunteers, ensured that Broward residents in need could celebrate Passover with joy and dignity.

The organization distributed over 1100 traditional Seder meals and care packages across the county to individuals, families, homebound seniors and Holocaust survivors, including Davie resident Agnes Berger.

Berger, whose resilience and spirit inspire all who hear her story, expressed her gratitude and shared her hope that her survival story serves as a call to action against hate.

As a young child who experienced the horrors of the Holocaust during the Nazi invasion of Hungary, Agnes and her family found refuge in Brazil after the war. Reflecting on her journey, she appreciates the kindness in her community and the chance to celebrate Passover with pride.
