A publicly traded company that manufactures smart devices for light fixtures and ceiling fans has secured signage and naming rights at the 49-story Elser Hotel & Residences in downtown Miami.

SkyX Platforms Corp. (Nasdaq: SKYX), also known as Sky Technologies, will relocate its headquarters from Pompano Beach to 400 Biscayne Blvd. in 2023, according to founder and Chairman Rani Kohen.

“It’s in a strategic location — in the heart of downtown Miami, [in] one of the tallest buildings in the area, across the street from the Miami Heat FTX Arena — and will offer the brand significant exposure and visibility,” Kohen said in an e-mail to the Business Journal.

As part of the deal, two electric “SKYX” signs will adorn the Elser, a 571-foot-tall mixed-use skyscraper. SkyX will also lease 32,200 square feet of office space within the Elser. However, only about half of that space will be used as the corporate suite. The other portion, about 16,000 square feet, will be sublet to another company.
