GREENWOOD, Ind. — Longtime education and training administrator Peter Hogaboom has been named the new president of Medtech College in Greenwood, Ind.
Hogaboom joins Medtech College from Fortis Colleges & Institutes, where he was president of Fortis Institute in Houston. He has more than 25 years of experience in education, beginning in admissions and continuing through service as an area director, executive director, regional director of operations, and president of campuses in Alabama, Louisiana and Texas.
Hogaboom’s expertise encompasses overseeing vocational programs in aviation, nursing and engineering to robotics, IT and allied health.
“Peter has managed campuses of all sizes — from small to very large — including start-ups, campuses that were just being constructed and those undergoing expansion,” said Medtech President Bobby Reese. “He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to
Greenwood that will serve our campus there well.”
Hogaboom earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from American University. He was selected by the Baltimore mayor’s office to launch a Youth Workforce and Development Program for that city and was later appointed by Maryland’s governor to serve on a task force for distance education.
Selected as a Top Executive by the Who’s Who Organization, Hogaboom is active in his church and the community, where he works with special needs individuals and assists with the Special Olympics Organization.
