The Darrell Gwynn Foundation provides yet another deserving individual with a new, motorized wheelchair. This article will appear in Sunday’s Miami Herald:
Her chair is shades of pink and black, with a pink and purple backpack with her name embroidered on it draped over the back, underneath sparkling streamers that cascade from the handles. Princess stickers are scattered all over the hot pink metal.
Atiriis Greene, 7, who was stricken with cerebral palsy shortly after birth, received her Christmas wish of a new wheelchair just in time for Easter.
Just over three months ago, mom Jamiela Kersellius reached out for support in hopes of getting her daughter a suitable wheelchair for her fast-growing frame. Thanks to Miami Herald’s Wish Book, the Darrell Gwynn Foundation in Davie was happy to turn that hope into reality.
