Growing up, I thought I’d be…

Thought I’d be or wanted to be? I thought I’d be a teacher, then a psychologist then a journalist. But what I really WANTED to be was professional soccer player living in Chicago with my husband, who would happen to be a professional tennis player.

I love the Windy City because…

What’s not to love? The people are always friendly – love that Midwestern charm, we have a diehard sports fan base that will never miss a game regardless of our record or the weather (Go Hawks!), the food – it’s impossible to get a halfway decent Italian beef anywhere outside of Chicago, and my family – I’m one of six (eight if you count my dogs). Now if only they could skip that whole winter thing…

The first thing I do in the morning is…

stretch! I’m a morning person so I love starting the day on an active note to get the blood flowing.

The best part of my job is…

Being able to think creatively every single day, whether it’s putting a positive spin on something or coming up with a way to create an 18-foot macaron Christmas tree!

I run to…

It depends on my mood. If I’m tired and need motivation, it’s house music (Avicci, Hardwell, Calvin Harris). If it’s a longer run and I need something I can sing along to, I tune into anything from the 60’s or Taylor Swift.
