MCH VOLUNTEER TEAM RECOUNTS HAITIAN RELIEF EFFORTS

On Friday, January 29, the 14-member volunteer team from Miami Children’s Hospital gathered to recount their medical relief efforts in earthquake-stricken Port-au-Prince, Haiti, during a press conference. The team shared images from their time in Haiti and spoke to media about their experience. With the help of Miami Children’s Hospital Foundation, the hospital was able to put together a team that virtually worked night and day, providing critical medical care and treatment to hundreds of sick and injured children in what’s left of the Haitian capital.

The press conference received a great deal of media coverage, with representatives from WPLG, WFOR, WSVN, Univision, The Miami Herald and The South Florida Sun-Sentinel attending the emotional event.
