Fortis College in Cuyahoga Falls Wants to Create Beautiful Smiles for Kids!

WHAT: Fortis College in Cuyahoga Falls is giving a “thumbs up” for healthy smiles during its no-charge, 8th annual “Give Kids A Smile” Day at its on-campus dental facility.

WHO: Fortis College-Cuyahoga Falls dental assisting faculty and students, along with volunteer dentists and dental hygiene students from Stark State will provide dental exams to more than 100 1st and 2nd graders from Leggett Elementary School. The event is held in partnership with the Ohio Dental Association and Akron Dental Society. Students were selected based upon their families’ financial need.
NOTE: A guest appearance by the Tooth Fairy will highlight the event.

Fortis College in Cuyahoga Falls is working to ensure the community’s kids get the care and education necessary to have happy smiles for a lifetime. Give Kids A Smile patients will receive dental screening exams, cleanings, fluoride applications and take part in a fun-filled, interactive patient education class, as well as take home a dental care package and a cool model of their thumb.

Fortis College-Cuyahoga Falls Dental Program Chair Diane Coffee will be available to speak with media about the Give Kids A Smile program.
