Wilkie to Oversee Academic Services, Enhance Student Experience
WATERBURY, Conn. – Post University® has named veteran higher education dean and course development director Dr. Dana Wilkie the school’s new Assistant Provost. The addition of Dr. Wilkie to its administrative team reflects the University’s mission to enhance student success through a renewed focus on personalizing the learning experience.
“We are thrilled to have such a highly qualified Assistant Provost on our team,” said Post University Provost Elizabeth Johnson, Ph.D. “Dr. Wilkie will oversee our Academic Student Services, including the Learning Center and library, instructional design, honor societies, and course materials. Additionally, she will manage faculty development and training as well as coordinate programmatic information for Academic Affairs.”
Dr. Wilkie joins Post University from Westchester Community College in New York, where she served as Interim Dean for the School of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences and Associate Dean of Adjunct Faculty. While there, Dr. Wilkie helped develop effective online and blended courses, and implemented peer-reviewed course development quality control measures. Prior to Westchester Community College, Dr. Wilkie served as Dean of Academic Affairs at Charter Oak State College in Connecticut, where she supervised and led distance learning program development and growth.
Dr. Wilkie earned an Ed.D. in Higher Education Leadership from Nova Southeastern University in South Florida and an M.A. in Applied Psychology at Connecticut’s Fairfield University.
“Our mission is to change lives, create possibilities, and unleash potential among our students by personalizing their academic experience – both online and on-campus,” said Post University President Donald W. Mroz, Ph.D. “To achieve that, we are re-inventing how Post University’s people view and interact with each other and our students to ensure each student receives the support he or she needs to succeed.
