Post-secondary education provider Fortis Institute will offer free dental screenings, x-rays, and cleanings to our nation’s veterans throughout the month of November. The dental services will be provided on campus at 517 Ash Street, Rear in Scranton.
According to Madeline Levy Cruz, Campus President, veterans can show their Veterans Health Identification Card or any military identification to receive the free procedures, which will be performed by students from the school’s Dental Hygiene program.
“We’re proud to be able to provide this to our area veterans,” said Levy Cruz. “Our students are able to gain hands-on experience as well as provide a valuable service for those who served our country. This is a small way we can say ‘thank you’.”

Appointments are available on Mondays at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m., Tuesdays at 8 a.m. and 1 p.m., and Thursdays at 5 p.m. Patients should allow up to two hours for their visit. For more information or to schedule an appointment, call 570-955-4015.
